Dekonty, Mary (Mary DeKonty Hutchins) FORT WORTH -- Mary Helen Hutchins, 67, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017.  Mary was born in Fort Worth, the third daughter of Dan and Virginia DeKonty, on Feb. 25, 1950. In 1968, she graduated from Richland High School, where she was a member of the Dixie Belles. She met the love of her life, Dalton Hutchins, in Houston, and they married on Oct. 6, 1976. They moved to Fort Worth in 1987, and she was employed at Burlington Northern Railroad as an administrative assistant for a vice president. Mary was a lifelong member of Faith United Methodist Church. Throughout her life, even though she struggled with her own disabilities, she unselfishly served others through UMW and in her extended family and community. She will be remembered for her effervescence and beautiful smile. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Virginia DeKonty. SURVIVORS: Husband, Dalton; sisters, Suzanne Nickel and husband Paul, Hannah Goolsby and husband, Roger; aunt, Ruth Christian; sister-in-law, Annette Irvby; brother-in-law, Stuart Hutchins and wife, Cindy; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
